CytoSorb Toxic Adsorber
This adsorber is used in patients with sepsis, together with a dialysis machine or CRRT (continuous dialysis). This adsorber is connected to the patient through blood catheters. The blood is transferred from the patient to the CytoSorb cartridge and returned to patient’s body. CytoSorb is a sterile and disposable cartridge to eliminate excess cytokines containing porous polymer beads that absorb cytokines when blood passes through it. Through removing excess cytokines by CytoSorb, the risk of cytokine damage to different body systems is minimized. As a result, this adsorber prevents the vital organs of the body from failing. CytoSorb is available in a CytoSorb300 model.
